Summerville, was originally the home of Lt. Col. Sir Harry Smith. He lived there in 1857. The South African town of Ladysmith and Harrismith were named after him and his wife. In 1859 the house was taken over by the wealthy merchant William Kessler. In 1905 the great house became the Unitarian College.  In 2014, when these images were taken, the house had been converted into apartments.
