Once a private residence in the exclusive Victoria Park development that was home to many of Manchester's wealthy merchants, this was originally Milverton Lodge.  Over the years it has had a variety of uses including a private hotel and most recently a gastropub.  However, when I took these photographs in May of 2014 it appeared to have gone out of business.  The sign that once stood over the entrance gateway was gone and the beer garden looked as if it hadn't been used in some time.
