Church of God Seventh Day - Formerly Longsight Baptist Church

A group of baptists first started meeting in Longsight in 1887 in an iron building at the corner of Slade Grove and Duncan Road that was generally known as the "Tin Tabernacle".  The memorial stone for the Baptist Church on Slade Lane was laid in 1898 and the chapel opened two years later.

Beside the church sits the building shown below.  It was the church's Sunday School.

Today the church is known as the "Church of God Seventh Day".
