Buildings - Queen Street
 Alexandra Buildings
occupies a site on Queen Street looking into Lincoln
Square. The building is home to a variety of
offices, retail and service units.
  ****************** In the middle of the
19th Century, Queen Street was home to St. Anne's
Church Day and Sunday School. It sat next door
to the Sun Inn. The street was also made up of
a number of residences.
 The Sun Inn is still
there (although now called The Rising Sun), but the
houses are gone, as is St. Anne's School, which
would have been to the left of the Sun Inn in the
photograph below.
 The red brick
office building, that has replaced the school,
occupies the site between the The Rising Sun and
Alexandra Buildings.
