Built in 1863 by William Mangnall for the Freemasons as you can gather from the masonic symbols carved into the facade. It was the Masonic Hall in central Manchester before the Masonic Temple was built on Bridge Street. On the front are the statues of Prudence, Fortitude, Temperance and Justice. Among the present occupants is the "Slice" bar & club.
