Return - Chapel Street, Salford The Manchester Bar
Review website says that it is a "proper pub" in the
area of Salford, just off Manchester’s Deansgate, that’s
enjoying a resurgence with many new luxury apartments in
the area.
   As the map segment below (dated
1844 - 1849) shows, there has been a pub on the
corner of Chapel Street and Barlow's Croft for more
than 160 years. In the mid 19th Century it was
called the Lord Nelson.
