Denton, Corker
and Marshall
John
Denton,
Bill
Corker
and Barrie
Marshall
are the founding directors of this
architectural practice that was established in
Melbourne in 1972. Today they work in
Europe, the Middle East, Asia and
Australia. They are responsible for one
of the most striking buildings to be added to
Manchester's streets in many a year.
Standing at the city's northern gateway, where
Bridge Street crosses the Irwell from Salford,
is the Civil
Justice Centre, affectionally known
as "The Filing Cabinet". The building
provides 47 courtrooms, 75 consultation rooms,
in addition to office and support space
distributed over 15 floors.
