The famous Fred Church, who designed the Bobs roller coaster at Belle Vue, also built a smaller coaster there called "The Whirlwind Dipper". It has been described as Church's "junior racing coaster". As you can see from the 1931 photograph above, it was located not far from the Hyde Road entrance and close to Harry Travers' Seaplane Deluxe and Church's Bobs.
