Belle Vue is the Sunken Garden completed last
season at a cost of £5,000. The Garden
features a sunken pool, crazy paved surround,
fountains and flower beds massed with glorious
blooms. It makes a delightful retreat in
which to linger while touring the zoo. The
Garden is built on the site of the original maze
which existed at Belle Vue for some fifty years."
