The Granada Bowl

Though not strictly part of Belle Vue, the American style 32 lane bowling alley was built on land reclaimed when the Great Lake was drained. It had been a project in the works for some time but it was following the take-over of the park by Charles Forte that the Belle Vue Granada Bowl was finally built. The bowling alley was constructed on the Hyde Road side of what was the lake and it was separated from Belle Vue by a high fence. I remember rattling a few gutters and denting the odd stretch of hardwood floor there myself.
