Description
The new MMU Business School is approaching completion in the corner of Grosvenor Square.  The University describes the building as a, " ... pioneering new 'green' Business School""In a highly original concept, three towers will sit under a single glass roof, separated by two atria or arcades. The jewel-shaped building has glazed facades which refract colours that react to the changing patterns of the sun and daylight."  It will be powered by solar panels and ground source heat pumps and is designed to let in the maximum amount of natural light.

The new building will incorporate, "a new Faculty and as well as a cross-university facility for 5,000 students and 250 staff including student services, catering, social learning zones and IT drop-in spaces."

The architects say that, "Externally, the building is jewel-like in form, its trapezoid plan driven by a reaction to the geometry of site."
