Description |
|
This new building on
South Molton Street in London's Mayfair
district is home to the Chinese retailer
Bosideng. It occupies a narrow
triangular site, once home to a pub, at
the confluence of South Molton Street and
Davies Street as they both feed into
Oxford Street. The configuration of
the plot dictates a building of this shape
resulting in London's version of the
Flatiron Building in New York.
In addition to this
high-end mens' clothing store, the
building is also home to office space
and penthouse residential accommodation.
Apparently the architects delivered the
store in less than 9 months and in time
for the 2012 Olympics. The
building's facade is made up of glass
and terracotta.
