Description
The Acrobat is a pedestrian bridge that crosses the railway tracks entering Oslo Central Station.  It links the Barcode development in Bjorvika to the Gronland district to the north.

This truss bridge has a total length of 200 metres with the longest of its 5 spans being 70 metres long.  Built of steel and glass it is supported by four steel columns located beside and between the 24 railroad tracks that pass beneath the bridge.

A sturdy triangular shaped truss hangs from the columns and steel cables attached to the truss support the bridge deck.

A lighting system illuminates the bridge at night for both safety and aesthetic reasons.  In 2012 it was a given the European Award for Steel Bridges.
