This collection of buildings, located adjacent to Millennium Square and Leeds Civic Hall, is described by the architects respoonsible for its transformation as a, "Dynamic mixrd-use scheme in the heart of Leeds."  The project turned a collection of disused and essentially deralict warehouses into a venue that includes a number of restaurants , city-centre. workspace and The Carriageworks Theatre.





The Carriage Works is home to two performance spaces.  The main auditorium is a proscenium arch theatre with a capacity of 349, and caters for larger-scale productions. The Studio is an intimate and flexible studio space with a maximum capacity of 77, accommodating intimate dramas, puppetry, and everything in between.

The Electric Press Building is a Grade II listed building dating from c1900 that started life as a printing works for the firm of Chorley and Pickersgill.
