Description
In 2000, the BMW Group decided to build a brand-experience and car-delivery center in close vicinity to the corporate headquarters and the BMW museum. They launched an international competition for the design of the building and 275 architects participated. The design by COOP HIMMELB(L)AU was chosen in July of 2001.  The COOP HIMMELB(L)AU design featured a large transparent hall with a sculptural roof .....



.... and a double cone.







The building won a RIBA Award in 2008.
