Description
Apparently the original design for this stop on the Docklands Light Railway called for  two platforms on either side of the track, but it became apparent that this would not be sufficent for the level of passenger traffic.  The design was changed to create the station you see today which has 6 platforms arranged in pairs on either side of each track allowing fast entry and exit for passengers.  The train shed spans across the six platforms.  The platforms are at first floor level, and can be reached via lifts/escaltors from ground level, or by level access from the first floor of Cabot Place's shopping centre.
