Description
Alder King, the property consultants, published an online document called AKfocus in the summer of 2013.  In that document they announced that, "Bristol City Council has purchased the landmark office building at 100 Temple Street near Temple Meads in Bristol from Aviva Investors Property Trust. The purchase is a key element of the Council’s plan to consolidate its occupation across the city and could save local taxpayers around £40 million over the next 25 years. .... The five-storey property provides 130,000 sq ft of accommodation."

The building was once known as the London Life Building and, as you can see, it has also been home to KPMG.  The Bristol Pevsner Guide says that, "Its staggered masses achieve a pleasing three-dimensional quality.  Five well-composed red brick storeys, screened by slim paired supports of contrasting aggregate."
