Description
Oakshott Court is a 1970s housing development designed by Peter Tábori of the Camden Council Architect's Department.  It occupies a square site defined be Polygon Road,  Chalton Street, Phoenix Road and Werrington Street.  It comprises 114 flats and maisonettes arranged in an L-shaped configuration looking south and west across a grassed court.

The Pevsner Guide compares it to the Alexander Road Estate in Hampstead and the Highgate New Town development (the latter also by Tábori) and concludes that Oakshott is, "Lower and less monumental ... (adding that) Instead of parallel terraces, (it has) an L-shaped arrangement of long red brick tiers stepping up above garages.  A friendly front with minute private forecourts and balconies overlooking an open space, but forbiddingly overbearing rear parts."
