In 2015, when these photographs were taken, the McLaren Building was part of the Bruntwood fleet of office buildings.  It was built in 1972 as the Birmingham home of HSBC.  The 21-storey building underwent a £7.5m refurbishment in 2009 and today Bruntwood say that it, "... has been transformed into a contemporary business destination and offers high specification, flexible office suites with an individual floorplate of 5,750 sq ft."
