Description
The Glashuset (Glass House) on Stockholm's waterfront in Sussen, was built in 1974.  It was regarded as a very modern building with office spaces that were exclusively open plan.  A complete glass screen with a gently sloping façade faced north out over the water.  This wasn't to everyone's taste though and apparently the building was regarded by some as one of the ugliest buildings in the city.

Between 2004 and 2007 the building underwent an extensive renovation.  A new entrance was created to the south on Katarinavagen.  A large atrium brought light into the building and plant was moved off the roof to create more office space.  According to the website of BSK Architects who were responsible for the renovations, "The Glass House is now seen as a natural and appreciated part of the front of Södermalm and has created a new office location in Södermalm."
