Description
Carradale House is one of three residential buildings designed by Erno Goldfinger in Poplar, East London.  It is part of the Brownfield Estate.  Goldfinger's Balfron Tower, Carradale House and Glenkerry House sit in a cluster on either side of St Leonard’s Road close to the entrance to the Blackwall Tunnel.  In December of 2000, Carradale House was given Grade II Listed status by English Heritage.

In the image at the top of the page you can see the Balfron Tower rising behind Carradale House.  Like the Balfron, Carradale features a separate service tower and sky bridges.  It contains 88 flats and has a large underground car park.

I gather that while the Balfron and Carradale were being built they were known as “Rowlett Street Phase I and Phase II but later they were given names of Scottish villages.  Why Scotland I don’t know.

Note:  Carradale House doesn't curve - this is a trick of the camera.
