1 Kemble Street features a
15-storey circular tower known as "Space
House".
It sits on Kemble Street behind the 8-storey
CAA House (Civil Aviation Authority) and
linked to it by a bridge (see above).
The original plan was for the building to be a
luxury hotel with a circular tower that was
twice as high but council objections resulted
in a compromise and the building you see
today.
