This building, across from Hyde Park near
Lancaster Gate, was built as a speculative
office block by Richard Seifert. In 1996
it was converted into a hotel by T. P.
Bennett. Between 2004 and 2005 Eric
Perry refurbished the building recladding the
lower floors with white stone. Today the Royal Lancaster is described as a 4 star hotel with 416 bedrooms. It also has two function suites, each accommodating up to 1000 guests, and 14 smaller meeting rooms available to hire. |
