The 187 metre high Royal Bank of Canada Building is the prominent feature of the Place Ville Marie complex that extends over seven acres in downtown Montreal.  The complex includes both civic and commercial elements both above and below ground offering office space, shopping and parking all linked into the city’s public transport system.

The Royal Bank tower is a 42 story building that houses over 10,000 people.  It is cruciform in design and includes a, “monumental skylit banking hall” at its base that “opens onto the plaza that forms the project’s civic heart.”
