Named after the hockey legend Maurice "The Rocket" Richard, this circular arena building houses an international-sized ice rink with seating for 4,750 spectators.  Today, the building is home to the national short-track speed skating team.  It is also used for hockey and figure skating, as well as boxing and wrestling events and curling championships.  It has also hosted concerts.

Built in the 1960s it was used during the 1976 Summer Olympics as a venue for boxing and wrestling.  The "http://www.qmjhlarenaguide.com" website says of the building that it is, " ... a circle of yellow and white concrete with doors on each side of the building. A statue of the eponymous hockey star sits in front of the building on rue Viau, complementing it perfectly."
