The Cooperative Wholesale Society once had a large tobacco factory on Ludgate Hill near Angel Meadow in Manchester.  Between the wars an extension was added to the old factory in an Art Deco style.  The factory name is still emblazoned on  the side of the building but it has, in fact, been a long time since it was a factory and today is is an apartment complex.
