Description
Pevsner described it as, "A distinguished piece of cubic, stripped classicism moving towards modernism..."  There are carved relief panels at the top of the building, of Wisom, Fortitude, Charity and Faith, by William Boyle.  Boyle also created the Legal and General emblem above the entrance.

The circular lamps are original.
