this building as, "Spare, quietly
eccentric Tudor-bethan, in smooth Portland
stone, big shaped gable; ....
.... Romanesque
touches in the columns at the entrance
and the uppermost floor. Large
mullioned and transomed windows with
heraldic glass to the hall."
