Description
This building in Bergen's harbour
has been the Clarion Collection Hotel -
Havnekontoret (Harbour Office) since May of
2006. When it was built in 1920, it was
home to the Nordenfjeldske dampkipsselskap, a
Norwegian Shipping Company. Evidence of
its previous life can be found on the
building.
Apparently the inside of the building is
lavish but the outside appears to reflect the
importance of the shipping company that
commissioned it.
