                      | Description
 |
                      | This
Category A Listed building in Glasgow's
"Merchant City" was the first completely steel
framed building in Glasgow and the first to be
clad in Portland stone.  The listing
                        information describes it as "Classical/Early
Modern" in style.  "... 7 and
                            8-storey, 7-bay Portland stone commercial
                            building.  Canted 1st, 4th and 7th bays
rising to 6 storeys at centre, 8 to outer
bays.  Central columned entry to No 90
                            with balustraded parapet above, elaborately
architraved 1st floor; sculpture group at
                            window head of 2nd."  Among
the reasons for its elevated listing is the fact
that it was Campbell's last office block built
in the year of his death.
