| Between
Richmond Grove and Kirkmanshulme Lane there was always a
mixture of use. On the corner of Richmond Grove
and Stockport Road was the Longsight Presbyterian Church
and nearby the Longsight Post Office. On the west side
of the road Longsight Hall stood, as it does today,
although now it is a Youth Centre. Longsight
Library was behind the Hall but it moved to new premises
further down Stockport Road. Ironically in March
of 2009 the library is back in Longsight Hall because
the new library is being redeveloped and will not reopen
until 2010. Next to the Hall is the Ducie pub
which now stands boarded up. The old Coach and
Horses pub is gone. Please Click on a
