and I moved to Stockport in 1962, growing up in Chell
Longsight [off Stanley Grove]. Stanley Grove
School was my only school as in 1962 the seniors went to
Victoria Park Secondary. Mr Silver was my
headmaster and I was in T5. I remember Mr Kilmartin, Mr
Ball, and affectionally Mr Wogan the music teacher, Mr
Beswick the woodwork teacher and Mr Gee the ex ManCity
player."
