Crowcroft Park Primary School

Crowcroft Park Primary School is situated about two miles to the south-east of Manchester city centre. The school was built in 1935 and it is located in an area which consists mainly of terraced houses.  The headteacher says on the school's website that they, " ... are located in Longsight, right next door to Crowcroft Park, which is a great place for children to play and a community space for parents and carers.  Everyone in our school community is friendly and hard working. We are committed to giving our children the best possible education, a wide range of experiences and the taste of success."

The school can be seen next to Crowcroft Park in the aerial photograph below.  The school is within the red lines.

When the school was inspected in 2010 it had 247 pupils aged 3 to 11.  The report described it as an average sized school in an inner-city location.  It adds that, "The proportion of pupils coming from ethnic minority backgrounds has increased to over four times the national average.  Those whose first language is not English make up three-quarters of the school population".  The main finding of the inspection was that, "Crowcroft Park is a good school.  It has successfully met the challenge of changing pupil intake by working hard to understand and meet the needs of its community."
